Currently, MMC’s four-member management team responsible for the functional areas has the following key personnel:
MRS. ROSE-MARGARET KPODO – MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mrs. Rose-Margaret Kpodo was appointed Managing Director of the Company in 2008 having joined the Company as a Public Relations/Personnel Manager in 1996. Over the period, she also worked in other capacities as Branch Manager of the Makola Shopping Mall and Head of Operations, overseeing mainly revenue generation and other operational issues of the Makola Shopping Mall, New Makola No.2 Market and the Adenta Shopping Centre.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Religion and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast, a Graduate Diploma in Communication Studies from the University of Ghana and an Executive MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Ghana Business School.
She has also attended numerous managerial and property management training programmes, and has 16 years practical experience in the industry.
She is an accredited member of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana, and currently serves on council as the chairperson of the Professional Awards Committee.
She is married with two children and loves organizing events, following current affairs and dancing.
DANIEL WELBECK – HEAD, GENERAL SERVICES
Mr. Daniel Tackie Tawiah Welbeck joined MMC Property Management Company in 1997 as the General Services Manager, a position he has held to date. His job mainly involves the protection and maintenance of the Company’s physical assets, related estate management duties, real estate financing and investment.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Land Economy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and an MBA in Finance from the Central University College. Prior to joining the MMC Property Management Ltd, Daniel Welbeck had worked in the industry for over five (5) years with William Ofori & Co. as well as Volta River Authority.
He is a member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and has attended numerous courses in property and facilities management.
He is married with three children, and is an ardent lover of sports, currently serving as the Vice President of the Ghana Volley Ball Association and President of the Dansoman Keep Fit Club.
JOHN APPEA – HEAD, FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
Mr. John Appea joined the Company in July 2003 as Deputy Manager but within ten (10) months was promoted to the position of Head the Finance and Administration Department following the resignation of the then substantive Head. He has held the position to date. His job involves Finance, Accounting and Administration.
Mr. Appea holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Cape Coast and has almost completed an MBA Finance Programme at the Wisconsin University College Business School. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, and has attended numerous courses in Financial Accounting, General Management and Property Management.
Before joining MMC Property Management Ltd, John had worked for over six years with other organizations such as Ayew Agyeman Turkson & Co. and Greater Accra Poultry Farmers Association.
ROSEMARY SAPARA-GRANT – HEAD, OPERATIONS
Mrs. Rosemary Sapara-Grant joined the Company in 1996 as the Assistant Public Relations/Personnel Officer and later as the Field Operations Officer for the Makola Shopping Mall. In January 2003, she was appointed the Branch Manager of the Makola Shopping Mall and in 2008 as the Head of the Operations Department overseeing and co-ordinating the activities of the Makola Shopping Mall, the New Makola No.2 Market and the Adenta Shopping Centre.
Mrs. Sapara-Grant holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast and has also pursued a One Year Graduate Diploma in Public Relations, Advertising and Marketing from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Additionally, she holds a Certificate in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
Prior to joining MMC Property Management Ltd, she had worked with M&J Travel and Tours Ltd.
Over the last 16 years with the Company, she has undergone a number of general management and facilities management courses and has also gained practical experience in facilities management.
She is a member of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana.
She is married with three children and enjoys travelling, sightseeing and watching Christian movies.
